Our 125mm x 47mm (5×2) C16 Untreated Timber is an essential component for internal structural framing. Machine-graded to C16 standards, this timber offers the reliable strength and load-bearing performance required for residential and commercial construction. The 125mm depth is particularly popular for projects where a specific floor height or roof pitch is required that standard 4-inch or 6-inch timbers cannot accommodate. This timber is Kiln-Dried (KD), a process that removes excess moisture to ensure the wood remains stable and resists warping or twisting once installed. It is Regularised, meaning it has been planed to consistent dimensions across its entire length for a perfectly level finish. With its eased (rounded) edges, it is comfortable to handle and easier to fit into position on-site. Because it is untreated, this timber is intended for use in dry, internal environments such as partition walls, floor joists, and ceiling framing. C16 Structural Grade: Machine-graded to ensure consistent strength and reliability for load-bearing applications. Stable & Level: Kiln-drying and regularisation ensure the timber is straight, true, and consistent in size, which is vital for level floors and plumb walls. Eased Edges: Features rounded corners for safer, splinter-free handling and a more professional finish. Clean Untreated Surface: Ideal for internal use where pressure treatment is not required, providing a clean natural wood finish. Versatile 5″ Depth: The perfect middle-ground size for rafters and joists where space and span requirements are specific.
