Our Reinforced Aluminium Foil Tape (also known as Scrim Tape) is engineered for environments where standard foil tapes might fail. By incorporating a glass fibre mesh reinforcement, this tape provides exceptional tear resistance and structural integrity, ensuring it doesn’t snap or stretch during application or under mechanical stress. This tape is primarily used in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry for sealing joints and seams in ductwork, as well as for securing insulation blankets. Its highly reflective surface not only protects against UV degradation but also acts as an effective heat shield. Because it creates a total vapour barrier, it is also ideal for sealing the joints of foil-faced insulation boards (such as PIR panels) in lofts and floor systems, preventing moisture from compromising the insulation’s efficiency. The aggressive cold-weather adhesive is designed to bond instantly to metal, plastic, and foil-faced products. Once applied, it is fire-resistant and moisture-proof, maintaining its bond in both high-heat and freezing conditions.
