Our 100mm x 47mm (4×2) C24 Untreated Timber is the professional choice for internal structural work where strength and precision are paramount. While C16 is the standard grade for basic framing, C24 is a superior grade with higher density and fewer knots. This allows for longer spans and higher load-bearing capabilities, making it the preferred choice for floor joists, ceiling joists, and roof rafters in residential and commercial builds. This timber is Kiln-Dried (KD) to a low moisture content, which significantly reduces the risk of shrinking, warping, or twisting once installed. It is Regularised, meaning it has been planed to consistent dimensions for a perfectly level finish, and features eased (rounded) edges for safer and more comfortable handling on site. As this timber is untreated, it provides a clean, natural finish perfect for dry, internal environments or for projects where you prefer to apply your own specific finish or preservative. Superior C24 Structural Grade: Machine-graded to meet the highest strength standards, allowing for greater spans and structural integrity compared to C16 timber. Kiln-Dried for Stability: Carefully dried to ensure the timber remains straight and true, minimising movement after installation. Regularised & Eased Edges: Planed all round to consistent widths and thicknesses with rounded corners for a professional finish and easy handling. Clean Untreated Finish: Perfect for internal applications such as stud partitions, floor joists, and furniture framing where chemical treatments are not required. Sustainably Sourced: All our softwoods are sourced from responsibly managed forests, ensuring high-quality timber with environmental peace of mind.
